The first part of SATOP is an assessment screening, which will determine your SATOP class recommendation. As part of the screening, you will complete a screening instrument/questionnaire, which we can offer online, over the phone, or in our office. After you’ve completed the screening questionnaire, you’ll have a personalized interview with one of our certified substance use counselors, which, for the time being, can be over the phone or videoconference. Our counselor will review your screening instrument results, driving record, and interview and recommend you to one of the SATOP service program levels. The screening recommendation is valid for 6 months, and the cost is $375, which includes your $249 supplemental fee payment to the Missouri Department of Mental Health in Jefferson City.
